Davy, Sam or Sarah: which sleep trainer clock?
All three teach the same rule. Sam is the classic and the best value, Davy has plush ears and a nap timer parents love, Sarah is the newest and smallest.

The short answer: the training is identical in all three. Red for sleep, twelve stars for the last thirty minutes, green for okay to get up. You are choosing a face, a size and a price.
What they all do
Each Zazu sleep trainer closes its eyes at the bedtime you set and opens them at wake-up time. The screen glows red overnight, turns amber for the final thirty minutes while twelve stars count down, then green. Each has a separate nap timer from 3 to 180 minutes, a sound alarm for school mornings, adjustable brightness, and runs on the included USB cable or four AA batteries.
Sam the Lamb
Sam is the original and, right now, the best value of the three. Smooth, rounded, easy to wipe. Grey is stocked in Australia. Most Australian families pick Sam, and he doubles neatly as an alarm clock for older kids because the clock face is easy to read.
Davy the Dog
Davy has plush-look ears and a slightly taller shape, for children who want something that feels more like a toy on the bedside table. The nap timer is the same, but parents of daytime nappers tend to rave about Davy, perhaps because he looks the part asleep.
Sarah the Rabbit
Sarah is the newest and the smallest, with long ears and the lowest price. Same training, fewer reviews so far.
How to choose in one minute
Show your child the three faces and let them pick. Ownership is half the reason these clocks work. If they can't choose, buy Sam.
You can also compare all three side by side.
